ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Age/Birthdate: To compete, kittens must be 4 calendar months old — must have been born on or before January 30, 2015. To be allowed in the show hall, kittens must be 3 calendar months old — must have been born on or before February 28, 2015. Note: A TICA litter registration must be provided to the Entry Clerk at the time of entry. Any kitten without proof of age will not be entered in the show, nor will it be allowed in the show hall.

Health: This is a non-vetted show. Every cat in the show hall must be current with its rabies vaccine and conform to State of Washington health requirements by bringing the cat's rabies vaccination certificate. Cats from households with contagious or infectious cat illnesses within the last 21 days are ineligible for entry. Cats with suspected contagious or infectious illness or with parasites will be removed from the show hall.

TICA Registration: For most registered breeds and household pets (except new breeds), registration with TICA is not necessary to compete in the cat's first show, but is required for the 2nd and subsequent shows and for confirmation of championships and TICA regional and international awards. Contact TICA for specific registration procedures.

For new breeds: According to TICA Show Rule 203.19, all Preliminary New Breeds (PNB) and Advanced New Breeds (ANB) must have a TICA registration number prior to entering any TICA show. No PNB or ANB may enter a show with "registration pending".

Household Pets: Household pets from 4 to 8 months old are entered in the Household Pet Kitten class and can be either altered or unaltered. Household pet kittens must be 4 calendar months (not 16 weeks) of age to be shown. To compete on both Saturday & Sunday, the kitten must have been born on or before January 30, 2015; to compete on Sunday only, the kitten must have been born on or before January 31, 2015.

All Household Pets over 8 months of age must be altered (neutered or spayed).

Please contact the entry clerk if you are not sure how to describe your cat's color, or if you have any questions about how to fill out the entry form.

Registration with TICA is not necessary to compete in your cat's first show, but is required for the 2nd and subsequent shows and for confirmation of championships and TICA regional and international awards. Contact TICA for specific registration procedures.

Co-Owned Cats: Cats co-owned by members of two different households are eligible for the multi-cat entry discounts only if a Xerox copy of the cat's TICA registration accompanies the cat's entry. The registration must show the names of both co-owners. (If you are entering such a cat online, you must fax, mail, or email a copy of the registration to the entry clerk in order to receive these discounts.)

BENCHING & CAGES

Benching Requests: Only one benching request will be allowed. If you list more than one, only the first request will be considered. Handicapped exhibitors will receive preferential and free end-of-row benching, if requested. All other end-of-row request will be benched on a first-come, first-served, space-available basis at a cost of $15.00. The entry clerk will make every attempt to bench your cats per your request, however, the club does not guarantee that all benching requests can be honored due to space limitations and show hall configuration

Cage size: Every "odd numbered" entry (first, third, etc) includes a "double" cage space, which is 21" deep and 45" wide. The club provides double wire cages that are which is 21" tall, 21" deep and 45" wide; each cage can be easily be used as one 45"-wide cage, or it can be divided into two 21"-wide cages (if you need to separate multiple cats) using the built-in wire divider. Cage space is sold in increments of double cage space only!

Personal cages: If you plan to use your personal cage, please ensure that you will have enough benching space to accommodate its width. In particular, if your cage is wider than 45", you may need to purchase additional space. The maximum depth allowable for a personal cage is 24" deep. If your cage is deeper than 24", it will not fit on our 24"-deep tables. If you plan to use a personal cage, please note this on the summary sheet.

Other Cage Requirements: The top, floor, sides, and back of the cage must be covered. Per TICA rules, only one cat or two kittens per single cage, and two cats or four kittens per double cage.

Exhibition/Sale cages are double cages and are available only to exhibitors who have at least one cat entered for competition, provided space is available. You must complete an entry form for each kitten or cat for sale or on exhibition; per TICA rules, no cat or kitten will be allowed in the show hall if it is not listed in the catalog. There will be absolutely no sales allowed from carriers. If you are bringing any cats or kittens for sale, you must purchase a "For Sale" cage and comply with all TICA rules regarding maximum numbers allowed (i.e., no more than 2 adults or 4 kittens per double cage). To be allowed in the show hall, kittens must be at least 3 calendar months old (born on or before February 28, 2015).

Show Catalogs

One show catalog is included free with your first entry. Additional show catalogs are available; order on the Summary Sheet. No catalogs will be available for sale in the show hall. The show committee accepts no responsibility for catalog errors due to illegibility or mistakes on the entry form.

Ring Clerks & Ring Stewards

Ring Clerks: If you would like to clerk, please indicate this on the Summary Sheet. We will do our best to place clerks with the judges they request, but can make no guarantees. (We try, whenever possible, to keep 2-day clerks in the same ring all days, as this makes it much easier to bench clerks near their rings.) Clerks will receive lunch, plus $35, for each full day of clerking. Clerks will be paid after clerking; please do not deduct clerking fees from your entry form. Preference will be given to those in the clerking program.

Stewards: The club is in need of good stewards. We will do our best to place stewards with the judges they request, but can make no guarantees. Stewards will receive lunch plus $20, for each full day of stewarding.

Food and Litter

Cat litter will be provided in the show hall. Please bring your own cat food, food dishes and litter pans.

People food — There will be food concessions available for purchase just outside the show hall.

Liability

The International Specialty Club, TICA, the City of Olympia, and The Red Lion Hotel Olympia will not be held liable for injury, loss or damage to cats, exhibitors, property of exhibitors, vendors or other such persons or property in attendance.
